New Delhi: State Bank of India (SBI), India’s banking giant, offers the facility of regular home loan, home loan balance transfer, home loan for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), home loan, flexipay home loan, privilege home loan. According to State Bank of India, SBI home loan in 2019 includes the options for the purchase of ready built property, purchase of under construction property, purchase of pre-owned homes, construction of a house, the extension of house and repair/renovation.
All the resident Indians within the age bracket of 18 to 70 years can avail the facility of regular home loan from SBI with repayment tenure of up to 30 years. Surprisingly, State Bank of India has extended the deadline to avail the facility of regular home loan and home loan balance transfer with zero processing fee up till February 28, 2019, from the earlier deadline of December 31, 2018. “Switch to a loan that brings joy! Transfer your Home Loan to SBI at ZERO processing fees. Offer valid till 28th February, 2019,” SBI said in a tweet.
The pre-sanction fee to avail a home loan from SBI includes the advocate’s fee for the property search and title investigation report and valuer’s fee for valuation report. The fees levied by State Bank of India after the sanction of the home loan amount from SBI entails stamp duty payable for home loan agreement and mortgage, property insurance premium, CERSAI registration fee of Rs 50 + GST up to Rs 5 Lakh limit and Rs 100 + GST for limits above Rs 5 Lakh.
The features of SBI home loan include competitively low interest rates as compared to other scheduled commercial banks, no prepayment penalty, interest rate on daily reducing balance, repayment tenure of up to 30 years, interest rate concession for women borrowers and SBI home loan is also available as overdraft.
